Queen’s Knight Seven – Sewing Lessons & Digitizing
Judi Carrejo – (661) 319-0449
I started learning to sew when I was 5 years old and the memories of my mother not only teaching me, but the clothes she made for me and my sister, are priceless. Then when I became a mother, I created memories for my girls too. Over the years we have kept all their costumes I made and they enjoy remembering those times.
Since many of the schools do not offer sewing anymore, I feel I am filling a void, especially for my younger students and the memories I’m helping create for them. We are even going as far this year as to have several of my students enter some of their items into the Kern County Fair. Those are the memories that will become priceless for them.
A little about me:
I have been teaching sewing lessons out of the Jo-anns store location, on Ming Avenue, in Bakersfield since 2007 until May of 2013. I have changed my location of instruction to Beverly’s on “F” street downtown. (Map here.)
I do mostly one-on-one lessons in addition to home lessons too (there is an additional fee for gas on home lessons). I have worked with students from as young as 6 years old to 80+ years.
I teach all types and models of machines, including: Home model standard and computerized sewing machines, combo sewing and embroidery, computer software, digitizing and editing, and sergers (standard & computerized). I do possess some knowledge of industrial machines as well.
